We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, working 4 days per week, Monday to Friday, between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm.
Working alongside an experienced periodontal specialist, you will gain valuable exposure to advanced periodontal procedures and implant surgery, while developing your clinical and infection control skills in a highly professional environment.
You will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of clinical support, infection control and patient care.
The successful applicant will be someone who is efficient, with a willingness to learn and continually develop their skills.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing chairside assistance during periodontal procedures and implant surgery
Preparing patients, surgery and equipment for treatment
Processing and sterilising instruments, trays and equipment in accordance with strict infection control protocols
Maintaining accurate sterilisation and infection control records
Ensuring clinical areas are maintained to a high standard
Assisting with reception duties when required
About you
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous dental assisting experience, preferably with chairside experience
Has a
Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
(highly regarded)
Has a strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures
Is organised, reliable and has excellent attention to detail
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Is confident working in a busy clinical environment
Is a quick learner with the ability to multitask
Takes pride in providing a high standard of patient care
Is enthusiastic about learning and developing their skills within a specialist practice
