Job Description
As our #AAA team continues to grow, we're looking for a SeniorSpeech Pathologistto support participants across theIllawarra region, covering Nowra and North and South Wollongong, depending on where you're based - work close to home!
As an experienced clinician, you'll bring your expertise to a supportive and collaborative environment where you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of your participants, contribute to team development, and continue growing professionally.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage a varied, community‐based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settingsWork with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adultsSupport a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AACConduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant‐centred goalsDeliver evidence‐based therapy that builds communication, participation and independenceCollaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomesCaseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goalsSupport the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
Current Speech Pathology Australia membership with SPAExperience as a Speech Pathologist or Senior Speech Pathologist beyond graduationPassionate about community‐based support for people with disabilityExcellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseloadThrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environmentDesire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians
