About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, implement and evaluate a play-based, inclusive educational program in line with the NYLF an NQF
Observe, assess and document each child's learning and development to inform curriculum planning.
Lead and mentor Educators in the room, sharing knowledge of early childhood theory and best practices
Design secure, engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments that reflect children's interest and capabilities.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with families and the community to support each child's learning.
Uphold safety, wellbeing and mandatory reporting requirements, always acting in the best interests of the child.
Support the Assistant Director and Educational Leader with day-to-day service operations,
including NQF compliance and the Quality Improvement Plan.
Skills and Experience:
Successful candidates will also have:
Must hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)
(HLTAID009) Provide CPR
(HLTAID012) Provide First Aid in Education and Care setting
Certificate of completion of "Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect" (RRHAN) training
DHS – Working with Children Check
National Child Safety Training (through GECCKO)
Knowledge around the Flying Start programme would be an advantage but not essential
