About the role
Reporting to the Yard & Distribution Lead, you will be responsible for the safe, timely and efficient delivery of PolyPipe products to our customers, as well as collecting goods from suppliers when required.
Key responsibilities
Safely transporting products to customer sites
Manoeuvring vehicles for loading and unloading
Checking that loads are correctly positioned, restrained and weight-distributed
Completing daily vehicle pre-start inspections
Reporting vehicle or trailer defects promptly
Monitoring fuel and oil usage, tyre wear and general vehicle condition
Maintaining accurate work diaries, manifests and delivery documentation
Obtaining customer signatures and proof of delivery
Complying with fatigue-management, load-restraint and road-safety requirements
Providing professional and helpful service to customers
About you
A current HR or HC Driver Licence, with HC preferred
A current Forklift Licence is advantageous
A solid understanding of road safety and load-restraint requirements
Experience completing vehicle inspections and identifying basic faults




Good communication and customer-service skills
The ability to complete transport documentation accurately
A reliable, self-motivated and team-focused approach
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
The flexibility to assist in other operational areas when required
Experience transporting bulky or oversized products will be highly regarded
