Join Scotch College Adelaide as a Temporary Relief Teacher and become part of a community where every young person is known, nurtured and challenged.
We are seeking passionate and adaptable educators to join our TRT pool across the ELC-Year 12.
Whether you are seeking flexibility, returning to teaching, looking for better work-life balance or wanting to broaden your experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Why Scotch?
Scotch College Adelaide is an ambitious ELC to Year 12 learning community, guided by our values of Courage, Integrity, Inclusivity and a Commitment to Tomorrow.
We create learning and wellbeing experiences that help students and staff flourish, embrace challenge and confidently navigate the future.
At Scotch, we don't view relief teachers as simply filling a gap.
Our TRTs are valued members of our teaching community who play an important role in supporting student learning, wellbeing and continuity.
About the Role
As a Temporary Relief Teacher, you will deliver engaging learning experiences, maintain positive and productive classroom environments and support students to remain connected, engaged and focused on their learning while their regular teacher is absent.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for educators who enjoy variety, adaptability and building relationships with students across different stages of learning.
The College is looking for TRTs from ELC-Year 12 and Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply.
In the Middle and Senior years,
the College is particularly interested to speak with TRTs with experience in STEM, Chinese, French, English, Food Technology, Design, Technology and Engineering (Robotics/Woodwork/Metalwork Trained).
Why TRTs Choose Scotch
We understand that great relief teaching starts with great support.
At Scotch College, we have designed our TRT experience around what teachers tell us matters most.
You'll have direct contact with the people who know our students, staff and daily operations best.
Depending on where you are working, you'll liaise directly with our Deputy Head of Mitcham Campus, Daily Organiser or ELC leadership team regarding opportunities, expectations and support.
We invest in helping our TRTs feel confident from day one through:
A comprehensive campus induction
Clear communication and direct access to key contacts
Detailed lesson plans and handover information
Well-established routines and expectations
A supportive and welcoming staff culture
Our students are respectful, engaged and keen to learn, and our teachers are provided with the information and resources they need to feel prepared and successful in the classroom.
Whether you're looking for regular TRT opportunities or occasional teaching work,
you'll be joining a community that values your contribution and recognises the important role you play in supporting student learning and wellbeing.
About You

You will hold:
