What you will do
The Social Work Practice is central to WLC's function and collaborates deeply with solicitors, migration agents and other multidisciplinary professionals within our integrated legal practice.
Working in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive way, Social Workers aim to reduce barriers to legal support and address power imbalances within legal systems.
As part of a diverse team, the Social Worker will support clients experiencing domestic and family violence and other complex circumstances, with short-term, long-term or intensive case management.
The Social Worker will provide ongoing risk assessment and safety planning,



support during legal processes and referrals to services in the community including supporting clients' safety, health, financial wellbeing, housing or visa security, parenting and children's wellbeing.
About you
Identify as a woman, trans or non-binary person
Eligible for AASW membership
Experience in culturally safe, trauma-informed and client-centred social work practice
In-depth knowledge of the gendered nature of domestic, family and sexual violence, its impacts, and best practice support
