Insight Training
Perth
Insight Training is a well-established Western Australian RTO helping people build practical skills, access new opportunities and move towards more meaningful careers.
We're a people-focused organisation, but we're also commercially driven, constantly evolving and serious about delivering quality outcomes.
We invest heavily in our people through structured onboarding, ongoing coaching and genuine opportunities to develop.
We're now looking for a Course & Careers Advisor who can connect with people, think for themselves and deliver results.
The role
You'll speak with prospective students to understand their goals, circumstances and motivation before guiding them towards the most suitable training pathway.
This is a sales role, but it isn't scripted, transactional or high-pressure.
We don't believe in pushing people into courses that aren't right for them.
Our consultants sell through trust, curiosity, strong questions and genuinely helpful advice.
You'll be responsible for:
Managing prospective students from initial enquiry through to enrolment
Conducting consultative phone conversations about courses and career goals
Managing and consistently following up your own lead pipeline Explaining course requirements, funding eligibility, fees and payment options
Meeting individual enrolment, conversion, activity and revenue targets
Maintaining accurate CRM notes, evidence and enrolment documentation
Working closely with training, workforce development and operational teams
Keeping up to date with courses, funding programs and entry requirements
About you
You don't need previous education experience, but you do need demonstrated success in a sales role where trust,
judgement and relationship-building matter.
You may come from recruitment, employment services, finance, insurance, health services, customer success, membership sales or another consultative setting.
You'll also be someone who:
Builds rapport naturally and listens properly
Asks thoughtful questions rather than simply working through a script
Is comfortable working towards measurable targets and discussing performance
Takes ownership of their pipeline, follow-up and results
Uses initiative and doesn't need every next step mapped out
Can manage a high volume of activity without losing attention to detail
Understands that accurate administration is essential
Responds positively to coaching and applies feedback
Brings maturity, resilience, warmth and a sense of humour to the team
Experience using a CRM is essential.
Previous RTO, vocational education or VETtrak experience would be highly regarded, but isn't required.
Why Insight?
You'll join an organisation where the work genuinely matters.
Our students often come to us because they're ready for change, and our consultants play an important part in helping them take that next step.
In return, you'll receive:
Structured onboarding and ongoing coaching
Clear expectations and achievable performance measures
A supportive, approachable and invested manager
Performance-based earning opportunities
Opportunities to contribute ideas and improve how we work
A collaborative environment where initiative is genuinely valued
This role will suit someone who cares about people and also cares about performance.
You want students to make the right decision - and you want to hit your number.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
