Job Description
DOBBIES BUTCHERY PTY LTD Dobbie's Butchery is a family-owned and operated business located in Nightcliff, Northern Territory.
We are currently seeking an experienced Butcher to join our team on a full-time basis.
The position is based in the Northern Territory, and the successful candidate will be required to live and work locally.
Please note that FIFO arrangements are not available for this role.
Key duties and responsibilities Preparing, cutting, trimming, boning and portioning meat Operating butchery equipment, including saws, mincers and slicers Preparing sausages, value-added products and customer orders Weighing, packaging, labelling and displaying meat products Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock rotation and ordering Maintaining high standards of food safety,



hygiene and workplace cleanliness Inspecting meat products to ensure quality and freshness Providing advice and assistance to customers regarding products and preparation methods Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and Performing other duties reasonably associated with the position.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will ideally possess: A relevant trade qualification in butchery or meat processing, or equivalent relevant experience At least 2 years of relevant butchery experience Strong knowledge of meat preparation, portioning and product presentation Experience safely operating commercial butchery equipmen A sound understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements Valuable communication and customer service skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team and The ability to perform the physical duties associated with the role.
