The Roles
We are looking for
Alternate/Underground Managers
for multiple roles, to assist our Tier 1 Clients in
WA.
The roles are
8/6 rosters
, with
FIFO from Perth and other capital cities
on offer.
Reporting to the Underground Manager, you hold a statutory qualification to perform the role of an Alternate Underground Manager and support the safe development and execution of the mine plan across a mechanised underground gold operation.
You can lead and mentor the Technical Services teams, setting clear standards across site-wide planning, and you carry accountability for the technical quality of what that team produces.




Safety leadership is a daily part of the job rather than a reporting line item.
You conduct underground inspections and audits, verify compliance with the WHS Act and Mines Regulations, and lead the site safety framework including principal hazard verifications, task observations and risk assessments.
You work alongside underground mining contractors and subcontractors to keep day to day execution safe and on plan.
All flights, travel time and accommodation are covered.
To be considered you must meet the following criteria:
A
tertiary qualification
in Mining Engineering or a equivalent.
WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency.
Located
near an airport and able to travel to Perth
for flights to site.
You have
previous practical experience in underground mining in Australia
and an established understanding of mining operations and processes/software.
Previous experience holding a First Class statutory appointment as a Deputy or Alternate Underground Manager.
Strong technical background across underground production, design, planning, scheduling and ventilation.
Sound working knowledge of WA mining legislation and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop technical staff.
Current Australian C Class drivers licence and full working rights in Australia.
