About the role
As Quarry Operations Supervisor, you will be the key on-ground person overseeing the daily operation of the quarry.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, working alongside a small team and making sure the quarry runs safely, efficiently and productively.
You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the quarry while also getting on the machines and assisting with production.
Key responsibilities
Coordinating and supervising day-to-day quarry operations
Leading and supporting the quarry and plant operating team
Allocating daily tasks and ensuring production targets are met
Operating mobile plant
Overseeing crushing, screening, stockpiling and loading operations
Monitoring production, product quality and stockpiles
Coordinating truck movements and customer loading
Conducting and overseeing daily pre-starts and site inspections
Identifying equipment issues and coordinating maintenance requirements
Ensuring site procedures, safety requirements and environmental standards are followed
About you
Previous experience in quarrying, mining,



civil construction or earthmoving
Experience operating heavy mobile plant
Strong knowledge of quarry production and crushing/screening operations
Previous supervisory or leading-hand experience
The ability to confidently coordinate people, plant and production
A solid understanding of workplace health and safety
Good communication and organisational skills
The ability to problem-solve and make decisions on the ground
A current Australian driver's licence
