Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Product Design Engineer to join their team in Brisbane.
The Senior Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
Proven experience within the fenestration industry is essential5+ years' experience in Product Design, Industrial Design or Mechanical Design EngineeringStrong knowledge of aluminium window and door systems, glazing products, curtain walls, skylights or related building productsDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design or a related disciplineAdvanced 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar)Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, including aluminium extrusion, fabrication and assemblyExperience leading products through the complete development lifecycle from concept through to manufactureExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations and commercial teamsA proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement

The Senior Product Design Engineer role will involve:
Leading the design and development of innovative products from concept through to productionDriving new product development projectsProducing detailed 3D CAD models, technical drawings and engineering documentationWorking closely with manufacturing teams to optimise designs for efficient production and assemblySupporting product testing, validation and compliance activitiesManaging engineering changes, product improvements and technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs)Collaborating with suppliers to source and develop new components and materialsProviding technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers where appropriateWorking alongside cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Procurement and Sales to successfully deliver new productsContributing to the company's ongoing product development strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
