Senior Mining Consultant - Surface MiningDepartment | ConsultingLocation | Brisbane OR AdelaideUse your mining experience in a new way, this is an prospect for a Senior Mining Engineer with surface metals expertise to act as a trusted expert across surface mining operations , supporting customers across Brisbane or Adelaide, APAC and beyond.What You'll DoThis is your chance to join Deswik's Asia Pacific (APAC) Consulting team as a Senior Mining Consultant, working from either our Brisbane or Adelaide office, you will be the trusted expert helping customers succeed across Eastern Australia, APAC and beyond.Work with Deswik's highly regarded mine planning software products across multiple customers, commodities, mine types and operationsProvide extensive consulting services including mine design, production planning, scheduling, optimisation, and mine closure planningSupport our customers in implementing Deswik's software solutions, providing technical expertise and training solutions across pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales support.Act as a trusted advisor to customers, identifying needs and architecting effective solutions.Deliver advanced technology to the mining industry with our enterprise and optimisation productsWork alongside highly experienced engineers, geologists and software professionalsProvide input into software improvements and assist with scoping and testing new features.What You'll BringWe are looking for a mining professional with extensive experience in surface metals projects, ideally with exposure to Deswik software.
You will have significant experience in mine planning, including design and scheduling, or other related technical services including haulage,



drill & blast or environmental planning, with additional exposure to general mine projects and studies.Degree in Mining Engineering5-10+ years' experience in surface metals mining in mine planning or mining consultancy rolesExcellent mine planning software skills (Deswik software a distinct advantage)Demonstrated experience in mine design and planning across multiple planning horizonsEvidence of delivering high value projectsA flair for consulting and managing customer relationshipsExcellent communications skills, both written and verbalA passion for innovation and a desire to grow and learnOpen to travel to sites across Australia and potentially internationallyWhyYou'llLove It HereYour work matters.
