Join Camden Council in this temporary maternity leave position and play a key role in supporting best-practice procurement and contract management across a fast-growing local government organisation.As our Senior Procurement Officer, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders across Council to deliver procurement activities that are compliant, effective and customer focused.
You will provide expert advice and support on purchasing, tendering and contract management while contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement systems, policies and governance frameworks.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive job-related experience in purchasing, tendering, contract management and procurement practicesHigh level of IT literacy, together with substantial computerised purchasing or accounting system experienceWell-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively negotiateDemonstrated problem solving and analytical skillsSound understanding of WH&S; requirements and regulations as it relates to purchasing and procurementDemonstrated abilityto apply EEO, WHS and ethical practice principals and to act with probity atall timesDemonstrated understanding of the procurement processes within the Public Sector environmentExperience in the application of the Local Government Act **** and Local Government Regulations in relation to TenderingExperience withAuthority and VendorPanel SoftwareFurther Information:Diane Ross, Purchasing and Procurement Coordinator on Closing Date for above position:24/08/2026
