With this in mind, if you feel that you may not tick all of the boxes below but believe you have something unique to contribute to our team, we strongly encourage you to apply – let's have the conversation.We are currently seeking a Senior Metallurgist : Technical Services to join the wider Metallurgy Technical Services team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.Accountable to the Superintendent Metallurgy – Technical Services; this role is responsible for performing plant data and trend analysis, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities, evaluating initiatives, planning and executing projects to optimise throughput/recovery/costs,
utilizing reporting platforms to summarise data, compliance to QA/QC programs and overseeing process control system (PCS) changes.This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, with flights directly to Sunrise Dam from either Perth or Kalgoorlie.Accountabilities:Provide technical support and data-driven optimization strategies for crushing, milling, gravity, flotation, leaching (CIL/CIP), and elution/electrowinning circuitsPerform cost/benefit analysis on plant-related initiatives and track post-implementation project benefits against key cost drivers.Ensure strict alignment and data compliance with the International Cyanide Management Code (ICMC) and other associated quality programs/licenses (ISO, Dangerous Goods, etc)Identify deficiencies in plant performance particularly around circuit variability, reagent consumption, and process bottlenecks and provide data-driven recommendations.Routine monitoring of Process Control systems, control loops, and process histograms to identify continuous improvement opportunities.Conduct options analysis, validate vendor pricing, and build robust business cases for capital project proposals.Lead and participate in formal multi-disciplinary design reviews, equipment commissioning, and operational readiness tracking.Lead and participate in plant production loss investigations and all PCS related incidentsManage outstanding project actions, update operational documentation, and lead technical training.
To ensure operators understand and fully utilize new process technologies,
methods or control systems.Look at critical control verifications and participate in plant safety inspections to ensure new projects and current installations are safe and fit for purpose.About YouPeople are at the heart of everything we do.
