Senior Cabinetmaker/Factory Lead- Commercial JoineryElm Commercial Joinery Pty Ltd – Officer VICSenior Cabinetmaker / Factory Lead – CommercialJoineryElm Commercial Joinery is a Melbourne-based commercial joinery manufacturer operating from our modern facility in Officer South.We're looking for an experienced Senior Cabinetmaker / Factory Lead to join our core team and take a leading, hands‐on role on the factory floor.This position suits an experienced commercial cabinetmaker who takes pride in quality, understands production and is ready to take ownership of day‐to‐day factory operations as our team grows.The RoleManufacture and assemble high-quality commercial joineryRead and interpret detailed shop drawings and production documentationCoordinate day‐to‐day factory workflow and production prioritiesAllocate and oversee work as the factory team growsCheck completed work for quality, dimensions and finish before dispatchIdentify drawing or manufacturing issues early and coordinate with drafting to resolve themGuide and support cabinetmakers, apprentices and factory staffAssist with CNC, edgebanding and other production processes where requiredEnsure materials, hardware and components are ready for productionMaintain an organised, efficient and safe factory floorHelp improve manufacturing methods, workflow and production efficiencyCoordinate with our Site Manager on deliveries,



installation requirements and project prioritiesAbout YouWe're looking for someone with:Minimum 7 years' cabinetmaking/joinery experienceStrong commercial joinery experienceTrade qualification in cabinetmaking or equivalent industry experienceExcellent ability to read detailed joinery shop drawingsStrong knowledge of commercial cabinet construction, materials, hardware and finishesExperience with contemporary joinery machinery and production methodsHigh standards of workmanship and attention to detailAbility to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and find practical solutionsConfidence guiding and supporting other factory staffGood communication and organisational skillsA reliable, hands‐on approach with the ability to take ownershipAustralian working rightsCNC and edgebander experience will be highly regarded.Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Factory Supervisor or Production Lead is advantageous, but we're also interested in exceptional senior cabinetmakers ready to step into greater responsibility.Why Join Elm?
