You'll provide advice, guidance and mentorship to engineers across the business, championing best practice and driving the delivery of highly scalable, efficient cloud solutions.
Working closely with the Cloud Engineering Team Lead as you'll play a key role in the continued success of the function.As our Senior Cloud Engineer (Six months Fixed Term), your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:Effectively deliver on requirements, ensuring the agreed outcomes are achieved within determined timeframesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement and maintain cloud solutions that are resilient, scalable and secureContribute to the design and management of cloud infrastructures through CI/CD pipelines and automationAdvocate for and implement best practices for DevOps, Continuous Delivery, including automated testing (BDD, TDD), build and deployment pipelines and observabilityDevelop automation strategies to monitor and adjust performant cloud solutionsDevelop and maintain data security processes to ensure networks, data stores, and applications remain secureAssist with technical problem solving and provide technical guidance to other engineers and team across the organisationMentor junior engineers and train them on best practice, cloud technologies,
software architecture and toolsAct as a point of escalation during incidents, helping to resolve issues and risksStay up to date with cloud industry trends, technologies and market changesAbout youExtensive experience with AWS Lattice or Private LinkBachelor degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, other related certification or equivalent on-the-job experienceMinimum 3+ years of experience in a cloud, platform or devops roleProven ability to manage and drive change in a team environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal including the ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExtensive experience in designing and managing cloud networks, architectures, applications, and services on AWS (Lattice, Private Link, Serverless, Events)Expertise in DevOps culture and CI/CD practicesIn-depth knowledge of automation, orchestration, container and serverless technologies (Terraform, Github Actions)Experience in incident and issue managementUnderstanding of site reliability engineering, observability data types (logs, metrics and tracing) and experience with related toolingWhy you will enjoy working with usCompetitive salary structureGenuinely collaborative and friendly cultureFlexible and hybrid workingRemote working option - work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year, in addition to hybrid working as standard3 paid volunteering days per year & Workplace Giving ProgramFrequent events and celebrations including a standard weekly socialBeautifully renovated large office at Collins Square - 727 Collins Street,
