Empyrean is seeking an experienced Senior Building Designer to lead the design and documentation of bespoke residential and commercial projects across Western Australia.
This role is responsible for guiding projects from initial client briefing through concept design, design development, approvals and construction documentation.
Working closely with clients, consultants and the construction team, you will deliver thoughtful, buildable and high-quality design outcomes that align with the Empyrean design philosophy and established project portfolio.Key responsibilitiesLead client design consultations and project brief developmentPrepare concept, schematic and developed designsProduce complete construction documentation in RevitMaintain design consistency with Empyrean's existing project portfolioCoordinate structural, civil, hydraulic, electrical and other consultantsEnsure compliance with NCC,



local planning requirements and relevant Australian StandardsDevelop project specifications and schedulesLiaise with estimating and construction teams to ensure designs are practical and buildableUndertake design reviews and resolve technical detailing issuesSupport projects through approvals and construction phasesAbout youMinimum 5-10 years experience in building design, architecture or architectural draftingExperience delivering commercial projects is highly regardedAdvanced Revit proficiencyStrong AutoCAD capabilityStrong understanding of Australian construction methodsSound knowledge of NCC and planning requirementsAbility to independently manage multiple projects
