We're partnering with a large enterprise technology business that's investing in the redevelopment of a critical customer platform.
They're looking for a Senior API Engineer with strong commercial Golang experience to design, build and own secure, scalable APIs from the ground up.You'll be responsible for:Designing, building and maintaining production-grade RESTful APIs from scratch using GolangDeveloping scalable backend services and microservices that power high-volume applicationsDesigning efficient data models and working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Firestore or similar)Implementing secure authentication, authorisation and API security best practicesDriving API performance, reliability, scalability and maintainabilityContributing to architecture, code quality and engineering best practices across the platformCollaborating with engineers, QA and product teams in an Agile environment5+ years' backend engineering experience building and maintaining production APIsStrong commercial experience developing RESTful APIs in Golang (this is essential)Experience designing scalable microservices and distributed systemsStrong knowledge of API security, including OAuth2,
