They pride themselves on cultivating a supportive, progressive, and highly advanced working environment for their entire veterinary team.The RoleThey are seeking an exceptional, highly motivated Senior Imaging and Clinical Nurseto join their team in a full time capacity.
This specialised position will be a pivotal link in their practice, designed for an experienced professional who is looking to utilise their advanced technical imaging skills, manage clinic operations, and mentor a passionate clinical team.
Operating in close collaboration with, and under the clinical direction of, their registered Veterinarians, you will play a key senior role in optimising patient workflows, coordinating diagnostic scheduling, and ensuring technical excellence across both imaging and pathology.Key Highlights of the RoleAdvanced Imaging and Pathology: Under clinical direction, take digital radiographs and perform complex abdominal and soft-tissue ultrasonography data collection for Veterinary analysis.
Operate automated in-house laboratory analysers and carry out advanced microscopy, including cytological smears, blood films, and staining protocols.Case Operations: Coordinate critical clinical communication, handle emergency triage assessments, monitor anaesthetics and assist Veterinarians with surgery.Clinical Leadership and Mentorship:
Guide and mentor junior nurses and trainees in equipment use, clinical and safety protocols, imparting your technical and clinical expertise to help build team confidence and skill progression.A Team-First Approach: Actively contribute to total practice efficiency by flexibly assisting across all areas of the clinic, including customer care, phone management, appointment scheduling, and general operational support.Schedule and RosterPermanent Full-Time (38 Hours Per Week): Rostered across a fixed 5-day week comprising 4 days during the week as well as every Saturday.
A dedicated rostered day off (RDO) is provided mid-week, perfectly aligned with the Principal Veterinarian's schedule to ensure premium clinical continuity.Skills and Ǫualifications RequiredA formal tertiary higher-education degree in Veterinary Nursing, Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or an international degree in Veterinary Medicine/Science.An absolute minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume clinical environment.
Candidates with greater clinical experience at a senior level, or those who bring diverse international veterinary experience, will be favourably considered.Demonstrated technical proficiency in digital radiography, laboratory pathology processing, and complex abdominal/soft-tissue ultrasound data collection.Radiation Safety Compliance: Possession of (or immediate eligibility to obtain) a Victorian Radiation Use Licence for veterinary diagnostic radiography.BenefitsSalary Package: A highly competitive annualised salary of $75,000-$80,000 per annum (commensurate with experience),inclusive of Saturday penalty rates, plus 12% superannuation.Advanced Upskilling: Opportunity for further studies in echocardiographic imaging views and focussed cardiac ultrasound will be supported, enabling you to integrate these skills (once acquired) into practice under veterinary direction.
