ConsultANZ is looking for a Piling Design & Estimating Engineer to join a market-leading specialist in piling and deep foundations. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, contribute to landmark projects, and play a pivotal role in both design development and cost planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

- Work closely with the operations team to ensure designs align with project requirements.
- Develop piling and deep foundation designs tailored to varying soil conditions and technical specifications.
- Review and interpret geotechnical reports to determine optimal piling solutions.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, equipment, and labour.
- Provide innovative and cost-effective design alternatives while upholding structural integrity and safety standards.
- Conduct site investigations and apply specialist software such as Wallap, Piglet, and Plaxis.
- Create, maintain, and refine Excel-based templates for cost estimation and planning.
- Design and estimate piling methodologies, including retaining walls and other foundation systems.




- Report directly to the Pre-Contracts Manager, supporting tenders and project planning.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, with 2-5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Background with top-tier contractors or major design consultancies is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Wallap, Piglet, and ideally Plaxis 2D/3D (or equivalent design software).
- Strong technical and commercial acumen with proven cost estimation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.
