Location: Sydney Airport & NSW

Salary: $98,331 - $111,571 + 14% Super

Position Overview

Akkodis is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to support critical infrastructure across Sydney Airport and regional NSW locations.

This is a unique opportunity to work on complex HVAC and mechanical systems while gaining exposure to specialised technologies including RADAR, power generation systems, communications equipment, and mission-critical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

· Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems.

· Maintain chilled water systems, cooling towers, AHUs, BMS, packaged units, and split systems.

· Carry out installation, commissioning, and upgrade projects.

· Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting activities.

· Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records.

· Support continuous improvement and safe work practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

· Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence.

· NSW Restricted Electrical Licence.

· Current Australian Driver's Licence.

· White Card and CPR/LVR certification (or willingness to obtain).

· Proven HVAC maintenance and installation experience.

· Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

Desirable

· Experience with diesel generators or power generation systems.

· Forklift or Dogging Licence.

· Experience within airports, utilities, defence, transport, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments.

Demonstrated experience maintaining and installing air conditioning systems such as: chilled water systems, cooling towers, air handling units, building control and monitoring systems, packaged units and split systems;
