We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor with civil, crushing & screening and earthmoving experience to work within our growing Civil Construction & Logistics Company.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong experience in the completion of Civil Mining Projects, Rail Maintenance, Bulk Earthworks and Roadworks.
Working closely with the project team, you will be responsible for duties including:
Applying practical knowledge to relevant workplace systems and procedures and/or site-specific procedures/instructions
Overseeing and implementing project safety processes, procedures, pre-starts and toolbox meetings
Organising and managing operational staff across projects to ensure project tasks and targets are completed safely and met on time
Developing valuable working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Applying working knowledge and background in the operation of various plant capabilities and appropriate selection for the required task
Calculating and monitoring daily cost of resources and working to target budgets
Leading a culture of safety and productivity
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
Strong experience in civil construction
Experience in crushing and screening operations
Experience in earthmoving
Demonstrated experience in the completion of Civil Mining Projects
Experience in Rail Maintenance
Experience in Bulk Earthworks
Experience in Roadworks
Demonstrated ability to organise and manage operational staff
Strong understanding of workplace systems and procedures
Experience conducting pre-starts and toolbox meetings
Strong knowledge of various plant capabilities and appropriate plant selection
Experience monitoring resource costs and working to target budgets
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong focus on safety and productivity
Ability to work effectively within a project team
Qualifications and Requirements
Relevant civil construction and/or supervisory experience
Relevant plant and construction tickets will be highly regarded
Current driver's licence
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Must be either an Australian citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
