About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join the Bathurst Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) Team within Western NSW Local Health District. The successful applicant will provide recovery-focused assessment, intervention and care planning for older people experiencing mental health concerns, working closely with consumers, families and carers to support improved wellbeing and quality of life.

The role is based within a collaborative multidisciplinary team comprising Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists and Psychiatrists, with support from Dietitians and other Allied Health professionals. The successful applicant will participate in daily team meetings to review referrals, discuss clinical priorities and coordinate care, while managing a diverse community-based caseload.

Comprehensive orientation, clinical supervision and professional mentoring are provided to support the successful applicant's transition into the role. Opportunities for ongoing learning and development are available through an individualised professional development pathway designed to build core skills in Older Persons Mental Health and support individual career interests and goals.
