The Role:

This is an onsite hardware related support based role for end user devices, client platforms in Data centres, network devices, configuration and support, Network/server installs and troubleshooting. Works will be done in Corporate Offices, Data Centres so a current criminal and police check must be provided. Any Vetted Applicants will be favourable.

Experience is required but not limited to:

Data centre processes and rules

Data Centre smart hands tasks

Equipment Configs, prestaging

Cabling, Fibre cabling

Server builds and Network Patching

Experience with construction and deconstruction on Network/Server racks

Knowledge of Network connectivity

Patching, Rack and stack

Usage of fibre testers and labellers

Works with MPO

Flexibility with work hours including after hours.

SKILLS:

Fluent English Written and Spoken

Open Cablers Licence desirable but not mandatory





Min 3 years Field Networking Experience

Min 3 years Data Centre Smart Hands Experience

Licence and Car

Flexible Availabity to be deployed to site within 4 hours notice 24/7.

Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).

Work Mindset:

Ability to work with minimum supervision, reliability in this role is key

Team player, follow instructions and work with Project Managers

Pleasant customer service skills

Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal

Flexibility and commitment to get the job done

Pro-active, self starter

This role will suit a candidate that isn't currently employed full time and can respond to works as specified above. The roll will be paid hourly for all onsite jobs performed and a weekly on-call allowance paid to be on standby.

Should you prove yourself capable over time, your role may progress internal where possible.
