Help strengthen the resilience of Tasmania's critical infrastructure.
At TasNetworks, our Business Governance Team helps the business make informed decisions and build resilience by embedding practical, effective risk management across the organisation.
We work with leaders and teams across TasNetworks to strengthen risk capability, respond to emerging challenges and support our strategic objectives. As part of this, we oversee and coordinate our Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) obligations, helping ensure our critical infrastructure remains resilient, secure and compliant.
We're looking for a SOCI Specialist to lead this important area of work and help build the maturity of our critical infrastructure risk management capability.
As the SOCI Specialist, you'll:
- Lead TasNetworks' SOCI Program, ensuring compliance with the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act and associated obligations
- Accountable for the development and ongoing maturity of our Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP)
- Partner with business, operational and technical teams to embed effective risk, resilience and security practices
- Manage governance and oversight of SOCI obligations, including compliance, reporting and regulatory engagement
- Monitor legislative, regulatory and threat landscape changes and translate these into practical business actions
- Facilitate risk assessments, workshops and assurance activities to identify and manage critical infrastructure risks
- Prepare clear, insightful reports and presentations for Executive, Board and governance committees
- Drive continuous improvement across SOCI governance, resilience and critical infrastructure risk management
About you
We're looking for someone who can bring solid governance and program management capability, combined with the ability to work confidently across a complex organisation.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience leading risk, governance, compliance or program management initiatives, preferably in critical infrastructure or a highly regulated environment
- Knowledge of the SOCI Act, CIRMP requirements and enterprise risk management principles
- Experience working with leaders and technical specialists to embed regulatory and risk requirements into business practices
- The ability to interpret legislation and regulation and turn complex requirements into practical outcomes
- Strong facilitation skills, with experience leading risk workshops, assurance activities and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear advice for Executive, Board and governance forums
- Tertiary qualifications in risk, governance, business, law or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
