About the Role:
MSS Security is seeking a Casual Control Room Operator to join our team at a corporate/data centre site located in Burwood East. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience working within a control room environment, including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, managing access control, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate and timely reporting. A high level of professionalism, robust attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, security-focused environment are required.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure site safety and security
- Coordinate day-to-day security operations within the control room environment
- Manage access control, including staff, contractor, and visitor entry
- Respond to and document incidents accurately and in a timely manner
- Support emergency response procedures as required, including escalation and coordination





Requirements:

- Full Australian working rights
- Valid Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotational roster
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a control room operator role (preferred)
- Experience using Gallagher systems (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
