Our client is a well-established global organisation with a strong presence across the healthcare sector.
They are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their collaborative finance team on a 14-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension and the opportunity to go permanent.
This is a commercially focused role where you will work closely with operational stakeholders, providing financial insight and supporting the performance of the wider business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of management and commercial accounting activities, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business.
This role would suit a commercially minded Accountant who enjoys looking beyond the numbers, understanding the operational side of the business and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting, including P&L; analysis
- Support month-end processes, journals, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Analyse financial results and provide meaningful commercial insights
- Partner with operational stakeholders and business leaders across multiple divisions
- Manage and review commercial contracts and contractual obligations
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Assist with financial projects and initiatives across the business
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support decision-making
About You
We are looking for a commercially focused Accountant who can confidently engage with stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly.
- Previous experience in Management Accounting, Commercial Accounting or a similar role
- Strong contract management experience - essential
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what is happening at an operational/site level
- Experience with P&L; analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
- Previous healthcare or hospital sector experience - highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, curious and solutions-focused attitude
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards qualification is desirable
- Experience with Oracle and/or Anaplan would be advantageous
