We're looking for an experienced Senior Coordinator - Student Wellbeing Connect to join University's Wellbeing Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide high-quality wellbeing support to students experiencing complex psychosocial issues, while contributing to a collaborative and student-focused environment.
Reporting to the Team Leader - Student Wellbeing Connect, you'll provide complex case management, crisis intervention, risk assessment, care coordination, advocacy, supportive counselling and referrals to help students achieve positive personal and academic outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality clinical case management for students presenting with complex psychosocial needs
- Conduct assessment, goal setting, case planning, reviews and ongoing risk monitoring
- Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment and appropriate support for students experiencing significant wellbeing concerns
- Develop and manage clinical case management plans and monitor student progress
- Provide trauma-informed and victim-centred support to students impacted by violence, harassment, bullying, sexual assault or other complex circumstances
- Work collaboratively with Wellbeing Services and other university teams to coordinate appropriate support
- Liaise with university stakeholders including Student Wellbeing Services, Accommodation Services, International and Academic Advisors and Colleges
- Develop relationships with external community agencies and specialist wellbeing and mental health services to support effective referral pathways
- Maintain accurate case records, reporting and documentation in line with professional and legislative requirements
- Contribute to policy development, program planning, continuous improvement and relevant training initiatives
- Support the management of complex and high-risk matters affecting student welfare
- Maintain compliance with relevant professional standards, policies and legislative requirements
What we are looking for:
- Relevant qualifications in Social Work or Psychology, with significant post-qualification experience in case management, counselling and wellbeing support
- Eligibility for membership of the AASW or registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience managing complex psychosocial issues, behavioural management, crisis intervention, risk assessment and demanding caseloads
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse and complex client groups
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and service providers
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and victim-centred approaches
- Knowledge of relevant policy, reporting and legislative requirements
- Excellent organisation, time management and ability to work autonomously
- Robust stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop effective professional relationships
