Based in the western suburbs, you'll work closely with a highly experienced finance leadership team supporting major projects focused on data quality, process standardisation and operational excellence. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a large-scale transformation while gaining exposure to a complex, fast-paced logistics environment.
This is a full-time temporary opportunity commencing mid-September, initially offered for 9-12 months with the potential for extension or future permanent opportunities.
Your Recent Role
Reporting to the Finance Operations Lead, you will play a key role in supporting several business-critical projects aimed at improving finance processes and preparing the organisation for future growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Cleansing and validating large volumes of AP and AR ledger data
Supporting process improvement and standardisation initiatives
Creating clear SOPs, process documentation and user guides
Performing ongoing reporting, analysis and data integrity reviews
Assisting with system migration activities across multiple finance platforms
Working closely with finance, procurement and operational stakeholders
Identifying process gaps and recommending practical solutions
Supporting project delivery across finance operations and shared service functions
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Finance Operations Analyst, Senior Accounts Officer or similar finance project-focused position
Strong working knowledge of JD Edwards (highly desireable)
Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reconciliation work
Proven experience cleansing and improving AP and AR ledger data
Strong reporting and analytical capabilities
Experience documenting processes and producing SOPs
Understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) workflows and broader finance operations
Exposure to logistics, freight, transport or supply chain environments will be highly regarded
The ability to work across multiple systems and navigate complex data sets
A proactive, resourceful and self-sufficient approach
Approximately 3-5 years' experience within finance operations or project-based finance environments
