A successful building company based in Sydney's East is currently recruiting for a Accountant - Head Of Finance to join their team. It is an exciting time for the business as they grow and an opportunity for YOU to be apart of it. They are undoubtedly leaders in their space , working on some of Sydney's most exciting projects.

The Role
An prospect for a passionate Accountant - Head Of Finance who really cares and takes pride in the business they work for. You will have the scope to tailor your role to what works for you and bring along existing skills that you feel may be of benefit to the company. A friendly and forward thinking team - they're always open to input and suggestions!

Key roles & responsibilities:

- Manage all type of insurances public liability, workers comp, equipment insurance and any other insurance
- Manage all Budget & Forecast for all financial and non-financial reports
- Preparation, Manage & audit all monthly financial management reports tracking financial performance against budget accounts and reports: P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow




- Variance Analysis around actual results compared to the budget and forecasts for each profit and cost centre per job and as a company overall
- Analysing trends and financial performance across business units
- Month end accounting including reconciliations and journals
- Supervising and training staff of AR & AP and Payroll ( oversee 3 employees)
- Taking part in systems and process improvement initiatives
- Prepare, Manage & Monitor all taxation practices (BASs, PAYG, Payroll tax…), as well as evaluating benefits and compensation packages.

The Requirements

- Prior experience in as an Accountant
- Experience working in the construction industry
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Prior experience in Job Pack
- Friendly and personable
- Ability to monitor and prioritise tasks
- Highly regarded if you have prior experience working across different entities and subsidiaries as apart of a group or parent company
