We are an ophthalmology practice located in Alexandra District Hospital, that provides a supportive and respectful working setting while we care for our patients, many of whom are elderly. We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and proactive individual to join our team as a Clinical Assistant.
This role is a regular casual position for one Wednesday per fortnight.
Qualifications & expectations
- The successful candidate will need to display high motivation and be proactive and eager to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently after training.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred but is not a requirement, as all training will be provided on site.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- A high level of commitment to the role and a proactive attitude.
- A strong team player who works well with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
Tasks & responsibilities
- This is a Clinical Assistant position,
in which you will work closely with and assist the Ophthalmologist in a busy Hospital outpatient setting in regional Victoria.
- Tasks will include pre-testing of patients' vision and eye pressures, conducting imaging tests, and preparing patients for laser and injection procedures.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and help to ensure a smooth patient flow.
- The role is a casual position for one Wednesday per fortnight.
