MINPROVISE is seeking an experienced Project Cost Controller to support our growing Projects and Remediation teams across Western Australia.
This is a key role within our Projects business, acting as a shared resource across both Projects and Remediation, providing accurate cost control, forecasting, reporting, and commercial support across a diverse portfolio of work.

Based at our Welshpool Head Office, this position offers the opportunity to work closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered with strong financial visibility and effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

- Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports across multiple projects.
- Ensure project budgets are accurately transferred into the relevant ERP and cost-control systems.
- Track project expenditure, commitments, accruals, and forecasted costs.
- Analyse project performance against budget and identify cost variances, trends, and risks.
- Prepare accurate monthly cost reports and project performance summaries.
- Support Project Managers with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and project controls activities.
- Assist with variation management, cost recovery, and change control processes.
- Monitor project financial performance and provide recommendations to improve project outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial records.
- Ensure project costs are accurately captured, allocated, and reported.
- Work collaboratively with Finance, Procurement, and Project Delivery teams to support business objectives.
- Communicate cost performance, risks, and forecast changes to key stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls, reporting processes, and financial governance.




- Assist with preparation of client progress claims and supporting documentation.
- Prepare internal and client invoicing requirements.
- Maintain current contract values and approved project budgets.
- Record and monitor client variations and their financial impact.
- Ensure approved variations are incorporated into project forecasts and budgets.
- Assist with reconciliation of project revenue, costs and claims.
- Support Project Managers with commercial administration and project financial matters.
- Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders for appropriate project allocation and cost coding.
- Monitor outstanding commitments and identify potential future cost exposure.
- Review internal and third-party costs for accuracy and project allocation.
- Assist with office and site timekeeping systems and reporting.
- Monitor labour hours against project budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with final cost and revenue reconciliation.
- Ensure outstanding commitments, accruals, variations and invoices are identified and resolved.
- Assist with preparation of final project financial information.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 3 yearsu0027 experience in a Project Cost Controller, Project Controls, Cost Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience working within EPCM, engineering, construction, mining, infrastructure, or major projects environments.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting processes.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders.




- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with project cost management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline (desirable).
- Positive attitude, proactive approach, and commitment to continuous improvement.
