- $1,307.56 gross per week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- Permanent Full time position based at our Principal Depot in Charlton.
- Accrue up to 4 weeks’ flex time to be taken as leave.

About the position

As a Plant Operator in the grass control section of the Parks & Recreation Services Branch, your primary responsibility is to efficiently operate plant and equipment, in line with Council policies, to control and manage vegetation within the Toowoomba Region’s Open Space areas. This role encompasses the safe operation and maintenance of various machinery while also providing occasional supervision to casual work teams from time to time during peak operational periods.

In this position, you will work under limited supervision.

What you'll bring

- WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent,



or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Current ‘MR’ Driver’s Licence, or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
- ACDC (Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control) Spraying certificate is highly desirable.
- Working in Proximity to Traffic (Part 1 and 2), or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of machinery, including equipment with a range of power capacities, and to perform physical labouring tasks.
- Communication and customer service skills.
- Leadership and teamwork skills.
- Accountability.
