About the role

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, implement and evaluate a play-based, inclusive educational program in line with the NYLF an NQF

- Observe, assess and document each child’s learning and development to inform curriculum planning.

- Lead and mentor Educators in the room, sharing knowledge of early childhood theory and best practices

- Design safe, engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments that reflect children’s interest and capabilities.

- Build strong, team-oriented relationships with families and the community to support each child’s learning.

- Uphold safety, wellbeing and mandatory reporting requirements, always acting in the best interests of the child.

- Support the Assistant Director and Educational Leader with day-to-day service operations,



including NQF compliance and the Quality Improvement Plan.

Skills and Experience:

- Successful candidates will also have:

- Must hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)

- (HLTAID009) Provide CPR

- (HLTAID012) Provide First Aid in Education and Care setting

- Certificate of completion of “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect” (RRHAN) training

- DHS – Working with Children Check

- National Child Safety Training (through GECCKO)

- Knowledge around the Flying Start programme would be an advantage but not essential
