About the Prospect
An Australian Government organisation is seeking an experienced ICT Project Officer / ICT Support professional to provide frontline ICT support and contribute to ICT projects and operational activities.
The successful candidate will work in a customer-focused environment supporting users, ICT systems, devices and technology initiatives across Australia and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level ICT support across hardware, software, network, account and device issues
- Triage, resolve and escape incidents and service requests
- Administer user accounts, devices, software and ICT asset records
- Support ICT projects, upgrades, testing, deployments and rollouts
- Develop and maintain ICT procedures, user guides and knowledge articles
- Liaise with technical teams, vendors and service providers
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to service improvements
- Support cyber security, patching, access management and incident reporting
- Provide professional support to technical and non-technical users
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience delivering responsive ICT support within an Australian Government environment
- Strong troubleshooting experience across Microsoft on-premises and cloud technologies
- Ability to analyse technical issues, assess risks and develop practical solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines
- Understanding of ICT security, governance and professional service standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a busy operational environment
- Understanding of ITIL principles
- Experience supporting ICT projects, deployments and technology upgrades
