We are recruiting a Trainee Injection Moulding Die Setter to join MASTEC in Edinburgh. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in injection moulding and die setting within a dynamic manufacturing environment. As a trainee, you will work under the guidance of experienced die setters whilst learning the technical aspects of operating and maintaining injection moulding equipment. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient production of high-quality moulded components and plays a vital part in our manufacturing operations.

About the role
Key responsibilities
- Assisting experienced die setters in the setup and configuration of injection moulding dies and equipment
- Learning to operate injection moulding machines safely and efficiently, following all health and safety protocols
- Monitoring moulding cycles and identifying any issues with equipment performance or component quality
- Assisting with die maintenance, cleaning and inspection to ensure optimal equipment condition
- Recording production data and machine parameters accurately
- Supporting the preparation of machines between production runs
- Developing knowledge of tooling systems,
die components and moulding materials
- Adhering to quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

- Mathematical competency to read measurements and specifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing or engineering is beneficial but not essential
