This is a casual position offering 10–30 hours per week, with approximately 30 hours currently available.
About the role
Reception is the first point of contact for our guests, so excellent customer service is the number one priority. We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional and genuinely enjoys helping people.
The position involves both morning and afternoon/evening shifts:
- Have previous administration and/or reception experience
- Have excellent customer service skills and a pleasant, friendly demeanour
- Have a confident and professional telephone manner
- Be comfortable using computers and be reasonably quick and accurate on a keyboard
- Be able to multitask and prioritise in a busy reception environment
- Be organised, reliable and well presented
- Be able to confidently follow established procedures and policies
- Be comfortable dealing with guests, enquiries, bookings and general reception duties
- Be able to work independently while also being part of a small team
Accommodation experience
Previous experience in the accommodation or motel industry is highly regarded.
Experience with GuestPoint PMS would be an advantage, although training will be provided to the right applicant.
What we are looking for
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who understands that great customer service comes first. You will need to be calm and professional when dealing with guests, have positive attention to detail and be able to manage several tasks at once.
