The Role
You’ll be the heart of our diverse, client-centred practice,
providing speech pathology services across multiple settings including homes, schools, community hubs, and clinics. With a varied caseload that spans from early intervention to adult clients, you’ll play a key role in shaping and celebrating the successes of individuals with diverse communication needs.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosing, treating and preventing speech and language disorders.
- Educating patients and family members about speech disorders and causes.
- Working alongside and consulting with other health professionals external to One Central Health as needed.
- Developing, implementing and monitoring treatment programs.
- Keeping detailed records relating to client conditions, care plans, therapies and progress.
- Maintaining a high-quality general standard of care for clients and their families.
- Keeping up to date with the latest findings and developments in the international field of speech pathology to ensure clients are always receiving the best standard of care possible.
At OCH you can become a skilled Autism Assessor!
Comprehensive training for a qualified speech pathologist in the following duties:
- Conducting Autism Assessments and completing report writing up to our high standards of quality.
- Working alongside other health professionals.
- Ensuring excellent client care.
- Keeping up with the latest and greatest industry and clinical developments.
- Maintaining meticulous records of clients’ notes, behavioural observations, and clinical interview notes.
You’ll Fit Right In If You
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and are registered (or eligible to register) with SPA
- Have a car and valid licence
- Are passionate about working with clients from all walks of life
- Hold or are willing to obtain a WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening, first aid certificate
