Caravan & Motorhome Detailer - Casual to start with Full time Opportunity

Jayco Newcastle is looking for a hardworking and detail-focused Caravan & Motorhome Detailer to join our team on a casual basis from Monday to Friday, with the potential to move into a full-time position for the right candidate.

About the role:

In this hands-on role, you will ensure all new and used caravans and motorhomes are inspected, prepared and detailed to the highest standard, ready for our customers to take delivery in showroom condition and free from defects.

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has exceptional attention to detail and enjoys being part of a team.

In this role you will ensure all new and used caravans and motorhomes are inspected and detailed at the highest standard ready for customers to take delivery of their van in showroom condition and free from defects.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Inspect units when they arrive at the dealership to ensure all items are delivered and no damage is present,

- Inspect and check units as per checklist to ensure they are functioning as they should and report any issues on the Repair Order,

- Clean and detail all units to an exceptional standard as per the detailing checklist,

- Adequately work within set times set by the employer,





- Use of our electronic scanning system to correctly allocate hours across jobs worked on, including fingerprint scanner to log your hours for the week,

- Be responsible for and look after allocated tools and advise if need replacing. Respect fellow team member’s tools and be aware of shared tools that may need replacing,

- Ensure workshop is in a clean and safe,

- Ensure completion of all paperwork,

- Be responsible for and aware of and ensure workshop staff abide by our obligations under the W.H. & S legislation. General housekeeping including, but not limited to, keeping the workshop and driveway areas clean and tidy, and

General Duties:

- Always demonstrate and uphold exceptional safety standards and in accordance with any workplace health and safety requirements, to ensure your own safety and the safety of others,

- Ensuring workshop staff understand and abide by our workplace health and safety obligations,

- Being actively involved in developing and distributing our WHS Management Plan,

- Completing a daily walk around to minimise WHS risks and ensure no trip hazards or obstructions,

- Complete a WHS assessment on each job and issues noted for detailer PRIOR to job being started,

- Ensure that you understand and adhere to Jayco Newcastle’s policies and procedures, which may be amended from time to time,





- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with personnel from all departments,

- Always ensure appropriate and respectful workplace behaviour, and promote a working environment which is free from discrimination, bullying and harassment,

- Ensure conduct is in line with Jayco Newcastle’s core values, and

- Complete any other duties within your area of skills and expertise, as required by your Manager.

Role Requirement:

Qualifications

- Trade qualification or equivalent experience in a similar detailing/cleaning role.

Experience

- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar detailing/cleaning role.

- Positive and proactive attitude

- Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise competing tasks

- A high level of honesty and integrity

- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships
