Qualifications & experience
- hold valid forklift licence
- organisational skills
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ability to interpret and process warehouse documentation, such as shipping invoices, picking lists and bills of lading
- ability to lift, move, load and unload heavy items
- must be able to lift up to 30kg
- good numerical skills
- attention to detail
- ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision and guidance
- willingness to work shifts and be adaptable with work hours.
- candidates must have any legal work rights in Australia
Tasks & responsibilities
- picking and packing orders, which involves collecting products and getting them ready for dispatch
- checking incoming goods against invoices and inspecting them to ensure they are free of damage
- unloading delivery trucks and unpacking the contents of packages
- using warehousing machinery, such as forklifts, to lift, place and remove items on high shelves or racks
- current forklift licence is required before starting this role
- sorting items and placing them in the correct location on shelves or in bins
- complying with safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment
- maintaining a clean and tidy work area
