Yard hand

We are seeking a customer-focused Yard Hand to join our Northgate site. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, purchasing and processing scrap metal.





This is a hands-on role offering full training, development opportunities and job security.

What you'll be doing:

- Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors and customers.
- Load and unload trucks, skip bins and trailers using a forklift.
- Accurately sort and grade scrap metal materials.
- Assist with purchasing and processing scrap metal.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work setting.
- Follow all OH&S; policies and environmental guidelines.

What you'll bring:

- Experience in a yard or labouring environment
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing a positive customer experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- A valid Forklift Licence is highly desirable.
