Eastern Palliative Care (EPC) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Community Engagement Lead to join our Fundraising and Marketing Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about community engagement and enjoys bringing people together to support a meaningful cause. You will play an important role in growing EPC's community engagement activities, supporting fundraising initiatives and events, and building strong relationships with volunteers, community groups, sponsors and other stakeholders.

EPC provides home-based palliative care services across the eastern region of Greater Melbourne, supporting people and their families to live with the best possible quality of life and to receive care according to their needs and choices.

About the role

Reporting to the Philanthropy and Communications Manager , you will lead and support a range of community engagement, fundraising and event activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, mentoring and supporting volunteers involved in fundraising, events and community engagement.
- Coordinating volunteer teams and ensuring events are delivered professionally and provide a positive experience for participants.
- Developing and supporting innovative community fundraising opportunities.
- Planning, promoting and delivering community fundraising activities to achieve financial targets.
- Building strong relationships with community groups, sponsors, suppliers, volunteers and other stakeholders.
- Coordinating and supporting EPC's flagship events, including the EPC Flagship Walk and donor and community events.
- Developing and implementing fundraising and event systems and processes.
- Identifying opportunities to develop new revenue streams and strengthen community partnerships.




- Supporting marketing and communications activities, including copywriting, artwork, images and print activities as required.
- Representing EPC through community speaking engagements.
- Maintaining accurate records, budgets, reports and activity data.

About you

You are an organised, confident and relationship-focused professional who enjoys working with people and making things happen.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- At least 3 years' experience in community engagement and event organisation .
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to coordinate and motivate volunteer teams.

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse range of people and organisations.
- High-level IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary environment.
- A current Victorian driver's licence, good driving record and willingness to use your own vehicle in accordance with EPC requirements.
- Experience in NFP, palliative care, health, human services or community services (desirable).
- Experience with volunteer or fundraising databases such as Better Impact or Salesforce (desirable).
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
