About the Centre/Service

Doncaster East Preschool is a community run kindergarten which offers a supportive, positive and stimulating educational program for preschool age children. Managed by a volunteer Committee of Management, our qualified and experienced staff provide a play based program which promotes confidence, curiosity and cooperation.

About the Role

Our casual pool provides opportunities to work across our 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten programs when our regular educators are absent or additional support is required.

As a casual teacher or educator, you may be called upon to:

- Support the delivery of a high-quality early childhood program.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and educators.
- Support children's learning, wellbeing and development.
- Follow our kindergarten policies, procedures and child safe practices.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children.

About You

We are looking for educators who are:

- Warm, caring and passionate about working with young children.
- Reliable, adaptable and able to work across different kindergarten sessions.
- Professional and committed to children's safety, wellbeing and learning.




- Respectful and collaborative team members.
- Confident in following established programs, routines and policies.
- Be available for casual shifts, with little or short notice.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

- An approved early childhood qualification appropriate to the position, or be curerntly studying an approved qualification where applicable.
- A current Working With Children Check or VIT.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications, where required for the role.
- A commitment to child safety and the National Quality Framework.
- The right to work in Australia.
