We’re looking for an outgoing and ambitious Recruitment Officer to join the Strategic Business Co team in Bundaberg.

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day sitting behind a desk reviewing resumes.

You’ll manage recruitment from start to finish while getting out into the local business community, building relationships and identifying new recruitment opportunities.

We want someone who enjoys talking to people, isn't afraid to pick up the phone or introduce themselves to a business owner and gets a buzz from achieving results.

What will you be doing?

Meet with clients to understand their business, vacancies and ideal candidates.

Develop position descriptions and engaging job advertisements.

Advertise vacancies, source candidates and review applications.

Interview candidates and assess their suitability for different roles.

Develop tailored interview questions and facilitate client interviews.

Conduct reference checks and other relevant pre-employment checks.

Support clients through candidate selection and employment offers.

Keep clients and candidates informed throughout the recruitment process.

Develop creative new ways to attract candidates and fill vacancies.

Conduct post-placement check-ins to ensure successful candidates are settling in well.

Build relationships within the Bundaberg business community through networking, referrals and direct contact.

Identify recent recruitment opportunities and other ways we can support and strengthen our clients’ businesses.

ambitious and a bit of a go-getter. You’ll enjoy meeting new people, be comfortable speaking with business owners and managers, and have the drive to create opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.

You’ll need:

Experience in recruitment, interviewing, talent acquisition or human resources.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Confidence interviewing candidates and asking meaningful questions.

Strong organisation and follow-through.

The ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns and priorities.

A creative approach to attracting candidates and promoting vacancies.

Confidence using technology and learning new systems.

A professional and reliable approach.

Experience in sales, B2B business development or relationship management, along with skills in Canva, social media content creation or videography, would be highly regarded.
