Youth Worker: Regents Park State School is seeking an outstanding Youth Worker to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Youth Worker with solid behaviour management, relationship-building and coaching skills to make a significant impact on student engagement and capability across our school.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About us:

Regents Park State School is situated in the western corridor of Logan City on Emerald Drive, Regents Park.

The student population comes from a diverse range of socio- economic and cultural backgrounds.

It is a co-educational school with about700students in year levels Prep to Year 6.

A number of students present with a non-English speaking background which necessitates working with our English as a Second Language Teacher on intensive language programs.

Our school also caters for students with disabilities.

Your opportunity:

The Youth Worker plays a key role in supporting calm,



predictable and inclusive learning environments.

As the first point of contact for significant behaviour incidents, the successful applicant will work alongside teachers to provide responsive support, investigate incidents, coordinate restorative follow-up and help ensure consistent implementation of the school's Student Code of Conduct.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Highly effective behaviour support practices
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
- A calm, proactive and solutions-focused approach to complex situations
- A commitment to restorative, inclusive and trauma-informed practices; and
- The ability to use data to inform decision making and continuous improvement.
