About the Role
We are currently seeking two Team Leaders to join our Primary Processing team across Live Hang and Spin Chill .
These are hands on leadership roles where you will spend the majority of your time on the production floor, leading teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and performance.
You will play a critical role in supervising daily operations, supporting team capability, and driving a strong culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading from the front on the production floor and supporting daily operations
- Supervising teams to meet production targets, quality standards and safety requirements
- Managing staff allocation, rotations and break planning for optimal efficiency
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to improve performance and engagement
- Supporting onboarding and on the job training of new employees
- Monitoring production flow and escalating operational issues as required
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, animal welfare and food safety standards
- Promoting and enforcing workplace safety, including incident reporting and safety observations
- Supporting return to work processes and maintaining a safe work environment
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across processes and team performance
- Maintaining accurate reporting on production, safety and team performance metrics
- Building a positive team culture focused on accountability, respect and results
About You
You are a hands on leader who is confident working on the production floor and leading teams in a fast paced environment. You are reliable,
practical and able to manage people, performance and operational challenges effectively.
- Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role within manufacturing or food processing
- Strong leadership and people management capability
- Ability to work in a physically active, fast paced production environment
- Good understanding of safety, quality and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Reliable, committed and able to lead by example
- Own reliable transport and valid driver licence (no public transport to site)
- Availability to work early morning shifts
Shift & Role Requirements (Important Information)
These are full time roles based in Lockwood with fixed early morning shifts of either:
- Between 12:30am to 10:30am (Live Hang) or
- Between 12:50am to 10:50am (Spin Chill)
With one position available in each team. These roles operate strictly within Primary Processing, and applicants will be considered for these specific roles and shift times only. Flexibility across other departments or shifts is not available, and a commitment to ongoing, long term employment is important due to the training and leadership responsibilities involved in these positions.
