We are currently seeking a motivated Business Trainee for a busy and well-established Steel Manufacturing and the largest galvanizer business based in Townsville.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable industry experience while completing a Certificate III in Business and earning a full-time wage. Our host employer is looking to invest in an enthusiastic and reliable person, with the goal of developing a long-term team member within their established steel fabrication business upon completion of the traineeship.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Front desk reception duty - Communication via phone, email
- Liaising with both internal and external clients
- Data entry and database management
- Scanning,
filing, and general administration tasks
- Producing reports and maintaining records
- Assisting with quoting, invoicing, purchase orders, and pricing
- Supporting Estimators and Operations Managers with administrative tasks, including:
- Creating job order
- Monitor online system
- Following up QA documentation
- Making bookings and appointments
- Preparing and compiling documents and reports
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Residency
- Be eligible to complete a Certificate III in Business (Applicants who have completed a Certificate III or higher in a business-related qualification are not eligible)
- Hold a driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred but not essential)
- Present professionally with robust communication skills
- Be enthusiastic, reliable, punctual, and have a good attendance record
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions while also showing initiative
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with support
- Previous administration experience or exposure would be highly regarded but is not essential
