Telecommunications Apprentice

Dash Group is seeking a Telecommunications Apprentice to join our growing team in Lismore, NSW. This is an exciting full-time apprenticeship opportunity for someone passionate about the telecommunications industry and eager to develop practical skills in a supportive, professional environment.

As a Telecommunications Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers, gaining hands‑on experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems and infrastructure. This role offers the perfect platform to launch your career in telecommunications, combining formal training with real‑world workplace experience. You will be based in Lismore, NSW, and will work on‑site with our team.

Key Responsibilities

- Assisting experienced telecommunications technicians with the installation and setup of telecommunications, security and audio visual equipment

- Learning and applying proper cable management, testing and certification procedures

- Supporting the maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications, security and audio visual infrastructure

- Conducting routine inspections and safety checks on telecommunications, security and audio visual systems

- Following health and safety protocols and best practices on all job sites

- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of work completed

- Contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting colleagues when required

- Completing formal training modules as part of your apprenticeship

What We’re Looking For

- School leaver or equivalent qualification (Year 10 or above preferred)

- Strong interest in telecommunications and technology systems





- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills

- Manual dexterity and attention to detail

- Ability to work safely and follow health and safety guidelines

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn

- A valid Australian driver’s licence is highly desirable for travelling to job sites

- Physical fitness to perform hands‑on technical work and climb ladders or access equipment

- No prior experience necessary – full training provided
