Sales & Customer Relationship Coordinator
Sales & Customer Relationship Coordinator
Real Estate / Property Management Experience? Ready for a Change?
Elanora, QLD – On-site
30–35 hours | Monday to Friday
$35–$40 per hour + super, depending on experience
Good with people? Good at solving problems? And actually good at the paperwork too?
We are looking for someone who can talk to customers, build relationships, follow up opportunities, handle difficult situations and help generate sales — but who is also organised enough to complete the paperwork and follow everything through.
If you've worked in real estate sales, property management, account management or another fast-paced customer setting, you may be exactly the type of person we're looking for.
You might even be very good at real estate but ready for a change of industry.
No weekend open homes. No property inspections. No tenants calling about a leaking tap.
But we still want the skills you've developed: people, sales, negotiation, problem-solving, organisation and follow-through.
About the role
Shepherd Filters is an Australian business with customers throughout Australia and internationally.
We already have a Business Development Manager focused on developing new business and a Customer Order & Supplier Administrator managing orders, shipments and day-to-day administration.
We now want someone who can work across the middle.
Your primary focus will be customers and sales support, while also providing backup to our administration and operations when required.
This is not a pure sales role.
And it's definitely not a sit-behind-a-desk-and-wait-for-work admin role.
What you'll be doing
You'll spend your time:
- Calling and building relationships with existing customers
- Following up customers who are due to reorder
- Following up quotes, samples and sales opportunities
- Supporting our Business Development Manager
- Handling incoming customer enquiries
- Talking confidently with customers when something hasn't gone to plan
- Working out solutions rather than simply passing problems to someone else
- Keeping our CRM accurate and up to date
- Preparing quotes and customer correspondence
- Helping with orders, invoicing and shipments when required
- Supporting our office administrator during busy periods or leave
- Following things through until they're actually finished
Some days you'll be selling.
Some days you'll be solving a customer problem.
Some days you'll be helping get an urgent shipment out.
That's small business.
The person we're looking for
You don't need to come from our industry.
In fact, we'd particularly like to hear from people with experience in:
Real estate sales | Property management | Account management | Internal sales | Customer service | Hospitality sales
We're looking for someone who:
- Likes talking to people and naturally builds relationships
- Isn't frightened to pick up the phone
- Can ask for an order without feeling uncomfortable
- Can handle objections and difficult conversations
- Stays calm when a customer has a problem
- Has common sense and works things out
- Knows when to solve something themselves and when to escal it
- Is organised and accurate with paperwork
- Follows things through without needing to be chased
- Can juggle several priorities without losing track of them
- Takes feedback well
- Learns quickly
- Is happy working as part of a small team
Most importantly — you need both sides.
We don't want a salesperson who hates administration.
And we don't want an administrator who is frightened of sales.
We want someone who can have the conversation, get the result and then do the paperwork properly.
A little about us
We're a small team based in Elanora, but Shepherd Filters isn't a small idea.
We manufacture an Australian-developed disposable kitchen grease filtration system and work with commercial kitchens and businesses across Australia and internationally.
Because we're a small business, everyone contributes.
You’ll work closely with our Business Development Manager, administrator and founder, and you'll quickly become involved in different parts of the business.
Hours & location
- 30–35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Elanora, Gold Coast
- On-site role
- Small home-office environment
- Occasional light lifting/packing
- $35–$40 per hour + super depending on experience
We're looking for someone who wants to become a long-term part of the business, not simply fill a gap for six months.
