Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Richlands, QLD .
You’ll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while completing an AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology , developing practical skills across vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

What You’ll Learn
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll develop practical skills and experience including:
- Servicing and maintaining light vehicles.
- Inspecting vehicle components and identifying faults.
- Diagnosing and repairing brake, steering and suspension systems.
- Carrying out tyre inspections, repairs, rotations and replacements.
- Performing wheel balancing and assisting with wheel alignments.
- Using modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Removing and replacing mechanical components.
- Completing vehicle safety inspections.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is motivated, reliable and genuinely interested in building a long‑term career in the automotive industry.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A genuine interest in cars and automotive mechanics.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to follow instructions and work safely.

- A current driver’s licence (P1 or above preferred) .
